MORIUO SHIMONISHI

I started publishing illustrations in magazines in 1999. When I started drawing illustrations for magazines, I wished I could be like Norman Rockwell for LGBTQ+. Since then, I've worked on many illustration and design projects, being published in magazines, working with advertising agencies, books, events, with a focus on the LGBTQ+ community and media landscape.

My illustration focus is around gay couples, same-sex marriage, family, and child-rearing. I incorporate a unique and gentle touch into my work, becoming more and more popular on social media. For a while now, I've been working with not just LGBTQ+ media, but also with companies taking actions on the topic of diversity and inclusion, doing events, productions, exhibitions, and lectures.
