Soyeon Park was born and raised in South Korea. While she’s in China for 5 years(2015-2019), she’s been running ‘Life drawing sessions’ in Guangzhou and Shenzhen. She's fond of contemplating her inspirations from mundane scenes and recently obsessed with expressing concepts of 'Line Drawing' (Energy; Flow of Beauty) on paper.
Inspiration of series of Line Drawing: Things always carry unique and beautiful lines which align with surroundings or simply in it. For instance, from lines of people’s eyes, indescribable shapes of cracks on old paints, or coincidently yet ornamentally cast lights or shadows on mundane scenes to most of the ways nature displays itself.
Capturing those dynamics not only captivates you but also grows affection in you. And by exploring and reinterpreting those into something different but to the level which can correspond to its originality, and if even easier to be seen; it could mean the creator now possesses the spirit of The Beauty she/he observed and (probably) once obsessed with.
She believes this notion comes from the primitive instinct; 'want to be loved'.
